My Opinion vs. Your Opinion,

Where We Agree vs. Where We Disagree,

Your World vs. My World,

After All, I Live in a Democracy,

Don't You??

Subject: LT0003 - This Is The Beginning...

And I am starting with a message to my two favorite writers, Dave Winer and Doc Searls. Dave refuses to reply to my writings - his right, of course. Doc Searls may reply occasionally with his usual non-responsive-responses.

I save Dave's daily Scripting News without the Scripting. Obviously, I do not publish copies of his Scripting News. Doc Searls is a whole nother ball game. He publishes in many places. So I don't get to read much of his writings.

This is also the end of another serious technical creation, as far as I am concerned, and that is that thing called <script>.....</script>, the ability to take control of another person's computer.

I believe that <script> should be outlawed, with heavy penalty for violators. In the meantime I am switching to Microsoft's Internet Explorer adjusted to reject <scripts>.

What we need is a government owned publication destination, where the writers work through publishers and the results are sorted and available by publisher and/or writer. Amature writers like myself would subscribe to the Minneapoiis Star Tribune or their local publication.

All readers would have the ability to post responses to any and all published material. Obviously, there would have to be rules to be followed for continued participation.

Now, if the government would do their part, I would not need to worry about the following:

to be continued -

I believe in public discussion; however, Email is the best process for my software in it's present state. I have a lot of work to do on my software, like adding the ability for readers to reply directly, and could really use some help.

Please put a "LetsTalk" in your title to get my attention. rest assured, I am working on a better system.
